In this study, the application of proteogenomic analysis was done on a recently completed genome of the putative probiotic Lactobacillus mucosae LM1, in hopes of deriving its functional characteristics, especially in probiotic adhesion. Lactobacillus mucosae is a natural resident of the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals and a potential probiotic bacterium.
